Field Studies at Kennedy

Our field studies program has combined hands-on project and place-based environmental studies with current scientific research to develop sustainable solutions to critical environmental problems.  Partnerships with agencies and non-profits such as the Coast Fork Willamette Watershed Council, the U.S. Forest Service, the BLM, Walama Restoration Project, Aprovecho, and others allow students to work with communities in Oregon to discover practical ways to manage their natural resources. In the process, students undergo a transformational experience that assists them in advancing an understanding of future careers as skilled professionals in a “sustainable economic environment” and encourages them to become globally aware citizens.
